Oysters from a French Perspective
Join us Wednesday, October 19th, from 5:30 to 7:00pm as we embark upon hosting an oyster and wine education and event from the perspective of the Mecca of haute-cuisine, France. Founding Partners of Shaw's, Steve LaHaie, will give one of his wonderful and passionate talks about oysters with more in-depth focus on the relationship that France has had with this wonderful bivalve.
Wine Director Jim Haupt will take us through three different pairings, all from France to show the versatility of oyster and wine as a great way to begin a meal. $45 per person (plus tax and gratuity) Ten oysters (2 each of the 5 oyster species) Belons, Olympias, Kumamotos, Shigoku, Island Creek, French wine pairing.
Guests will also be given an opportunity to try the art of oyster shucking upon their own risk/request!
